Alex Burkat is back on Third Ear following his arresting debut, the 285 Kent ep (3EEP-2014_05). His signature sound is on full display here, again. Many artists strive to sound like someone else. Some strive for individuality and some of those succeed. Alex Burkat is one of those who has succeeded. His music is epic, wide-screen and often lush, but also deep and with weight. His music sounds familiar but is not derivative at all; quite an achievement. This new ep is harder and faster than the 285 Kent ep; more ‘up’ and for a different time of night maybe. 3am Eternal music.
